What exercises do I do?

Just realised that I only ever talk about my diet and not my exercise!
First off, I think diet is 80% and exercise is 20%, thus my priority of eating clean ALL THE TIME and exercising WHEN I CAN. So during my stressful exam/study periods I will tend to slack off on exercise, but maintain my clean eating.

I only do Yoga and Pilate postures, on average each session would take me 2 hours - sometimes 3 hours if I do both and have the luxurious time! But I do try to aim for at least one routine each night. I keep a folder with 3-4 different routines of yoga and pilates, and I just follow the posture and hold/do them for around 30 seconds each pose.

Here is the standard Bikram yoga which I do for around 40min - 1 hour.




And if I have A LOT OF TIME, I do this yoga routine for around 1.5-2 hours


As for Pilates, this is a simple 30min-40min one which I do if I'm short on time.



And this one if I'm feeling beast and have 1hour-2hours free.



Difference between Yoga and Pilates? 
Personally, I feel that Yoga offers me a more full body muscle workout - with emphasis on the thighs.
Pilates is definitely a core-based workout, so if I want to tighten up the abs, then it's definitely Pilates that day.

Before you start doing this though, I recommend you either attend a few Pilates/Yoga classes or watch some Youtube videos so you can learn how to correctly get into these postures, and also the breathing techniques behind it. It's not as simple as "holding" the pose, sometimes it involves moving!

  2. Hmmmmmmm yoga I don't have any good youtube recommendations, I've always only attended classes for it, buttttttt for Pilates, "blogilates" is AMAZING. She does a lot of specific workout vids and also variations of pilates like "pop pilates" which are always a great workout. Here you go darling!

  3. Do the links for the charts take you to explanations of the moves? If so, those would be really useful. I've done some yoga (not Bikram, but it's been long enough I don't recall which one). I've not done Pilates at all. Any link to a beginner site for either would be helpful. I'll check out the videos on BlogilatesTV as well. Thanks!
